What is Motion Capture in your own words.
Motion capture is a technology used for digitalis real human motion and plug the data into varies animating system.


Why do we use it? When do we use it over hand animating (cell animation)?
By using motion capture, your virtual characters can move as natural as humans do. Besides, its time efficiency compare to traditional animation technology.

Who is Eadweard Muybridge, what does he have to do with motion capture?
Eadweard Muybridge is known primarily for his pioneer work on animal locomotion by using multiple cameras to capture motion, he is the first person who successfully captured motion.

Who is Etienne-Jules Marey what is the connection with Zoetrope & Rotoscoping?
Etienne-Jules Marey was a French scientist and chronophotographer. He is widely considered to be a pioneer of photography and an influential pioneer of the history of cinema.

A zoetrope is a device that produces an illusion of action from a rapid succession of static pictures. Rotoscoping in another hand is an animation technique in which animators trace over live-action film movement, frame by frame.

What is another name for Zoetrope?
Originally called the "Wheel of the Life".

Xbox360 Kinect Technology
Kinect is an add-on peripheral of the Xbox 360 console, it enables users to control and interact with the Xbox 360 without game controller through a neutral user interface using gestures, spoken commands or present objects or image. The Kinect camera technology detects and tracks your full body and corresponding movements, so when players swing their hands or kick their feet, the games that support Kinect read these movements and translate them into in-game actions.

Kinect features an "RGB camera, depth sensor and multi-array microphone running proprietary software",which provides full-body 3D motion capture, facial recognition, and voice recognition capabilities.
