  1. Explain in your own words, What is motion capture?
Motion capture can be define as capturing movements in many sorts of ways.
Often pictures/ sound are converted into digital data once it's captured.
The data can be sorted in frames, and this is how a video clip forms.

  1. Explain in your own words, What is the connection between Zoe-trope, Rotoscope, Motion Capture
Three of them use the technique of framing each movement.
Zoe-trope is the oldest technique among those three.
It comes in a loop of a same movement...

Rotoscope is basically the same idea as zoe-trope.
it also uses frames in each movement and has a timeline base in second.
It is often re-created/ re-drawn with drawing on top tracing of pictures.

Motion capture is currently the newest technology of capturing movement.
instead of capturing movements in still pictures...
it uses lights to record each movement's exact position,
which would be converted into digital data and send straight into computer.
it is much easier to the movies/game industry to achieve a higher level of developing
by using this latest technology.

  1. Explain your assigned motion capture system
    • 2668 - Passive Marker Optical
Optical motion capture systems tend to utilize proprietary video cameras to track the motion of reflective markers attached to particular locations of the actor's body. Single or dual camera systems are suitable for facial capture, while 8 to 16 or more camera systems are necessary for full-body capture. Reflective optical motion capture systems use Infra-red LED's mounted around the camera lens, along with Infra-red pass filters placed over the camera lens. Optical motion capture systems based on Pulsed-LED's measure the Infra-red light emitted by the LED's rather than light reflected from markers.
