- Explain in your own words, 5 differences between the organic system and the prosthetic motion capture suit
* You don’t have to take time to wear the prosthetic motion capture suit for recording the animation at the organic system. You just need to go into the camera zone and start to animate.
* The character’s open action and close action are difference between these two system.
Prosthetic motion capture suit: Open action- T position;
Organic Motion system: Open action - T position, extend position.....
Close action - bend the body
* Space limitation.
Prosthetic motion capture suit: Because of the wire has the length so the actor can’t move a lot and he just got a little space to move.
Organic Motion system: There is quite a large space for the actor to move when he is animating. The actor movement space is in the camera zone.
* Camera
Prosthetic motion capture suit: It doesn’t need to set the camera to catch the actor’s action except the head suit for catching facial
Organic Motion system: there are 14 cameras to catch the actor’s action from different direction.
* Facial Catching
Prosthetic motion capture suit: Using the only one camera at the head suit to record the facial from the actor.
Organic Motion system:Using the little dot sticker on the actor’s face to catch the facial action.
- Explain in your own words, 5 advantages and 5 disadvantages of the Organic Motion system
Advantages:
* easy to animation with the character
* easy to move around at the camera zone
* have more space to animate for jumping and dancing
* take a little time to animate the movement for the character
* the actor feel more comfortable instead on wearing a heavy suit to doing different action
Disadvantage:
* it can’t have 2 or more characters to animate at the same time
* the actor can’t bend the body
* if the actor’s hand close to the head, it will can’t catch the actor’s movement and it is easy to the close action
* The actor can’t close to the cameras for animating because the system can’t catch the action
* The actor can’t doing the action too fast because the system can’t catch and record it.
