2917 - Tutorial week 3
1.
- In prosthetic motion capture the actor must wear the suit before doing an action while organic motion capture doesn't.
- In theory, prosthetic motion capture has more precise than organic motion capture. (AIT's prosthetic suit is just very old)
- Prosthetic motion capture use the attach things to determine movement/rotation of the actor while organic use the different of color(from camera) to calculate the action.
- In organic motion capture, the actor need to perform inside the specific area. But for prosthetic, there is no line of sight limit.
- Prosthetic motion capture is portable.
Advantages
- Does not require the actor to wear a suit.
- Actor can do lots of action because there is no 'annoying' exoskeleton part.
- Work best for CRAZY action.
- Easy to maintenance.
- Fun to play with
- Not portable
- Imprecise for some action which cause a bulky silhouette.(e.g. kneel down)
- Actor must perform in specific area.
- Complicated setup part.
- Can't do detail capture(facial-expression etc.)
