Motion Capture is a technology which can convert actions of human actors to be the data for making 3d animation, filmmaking and 3d or 2d games.
2.Why do we use it? When do we use it over hand animating (cell animation)?
More convenient and more realistic.When the movement of charecters is complex like dancing and Kung fu fighting.
3. Who is Eadweard Muybridge, what does he have to do with motion capture?
Eadweard Muybridge is the founder of the animation and the first one whom used multiple cameras to capture motion of running horse or is the first one whom Successfullyconverted the movements to the animation.
4. Who is Etienne-Jules Marey what is the connection with Zoetrope & Rotoscoping?
Etienne Jules Marey was a French physiologist (a scientist who studies the functions of the body),solved the problem of how to capture the fast movements clearly.
