1. motion capture is the process to trace movement from actor and then translate into digital data. The data can be used to animate 2D or 3D charactor so we don't have to animate it manually.

2. They're all used to make an animation but in different mechanic.
Zoetrope use a spin cylinder to make an illusion of movement.
Rotoscope is a technique to trace reallife movement for using in animation. This is more closer to motioncapture because both trace the realife movement.

Resident Evil 5 , Capcom , 2009

The video shown making process of video game "Resident Evil 5".
They used motion capture in everything in the game, gameplay actions, cinematics.
And I just know that they actually use actor's voice as real character in game!!

Video included some advanced process such as
real time capture - which can display the character movement real time in game.
virtual camera - which can control camera they want and without manually move the camera in 3D program!


4. Acoustic motion capture is one of the motion capture system which has audio transmitters on the body. Each transmitter will make a sound and they will know the distance between each transmitter by using the time that each sound travel then project into 3D plane.
